Our name
DIM DIM is what the inhabitants of the Trobriand Islands call the whites who come to their land. Its cheerful sound expresses surprise, sympathy and curiosity at the same time; three emotions very close to our own relationship with the unknown.
Goals
Our goal is to produce a cinema committed to social, political, and cultural backgrounds, focusing mostly on people and the complexity of their relationships and psychology. We always try to keep an open, anthropological and respectful look that leads us without prejudice towards people, subjects and places of all kinds.

Born in Freistadt, Upper Austria, when my childhood paradise came to an end, I first had to forgive life for sometimes being truly awful. At 16, I knew I wanted to do something about it. Sitting around complaining was not an option. So I decided to pursue a career in social work and by the age of 25 I was already in a management position in social services at Lebenshilfe Upper Austria. I came to cinema because I have always been passionate about telling stories. This passion combines wonderfully with my social streak, because I have experienced how stories can inspire people’s lives. And that is exactly what I want to achieve as a producer. I also really enjoy working between two countries, travelling a lot, being inspired by different worlds and never losing faith in change.
She is co-founder and partner of DIM DIM FILM OG VIENNA and DIM DIM PRODUCTIONS MADRID. 2023 she founds with Günter Schwaiger the Austrian distribution company DIM DIM FILM VERLEIH.

Born in Neumarkt-Salzburg, after graduating from secondary school, I decided on my future purely intuitively, as I always have in my life. First, I chose to study the exciting subject of ethnology, which I skilfully ruined with my painful struggle to get into drama school. Intuition never left me, later leading me to Italy and then to Spain, where, after my first, very amusing experiences in the cheap guesthouses of what was then still the notorious red-light district, I lived in Madrid with squatters, painters, striptease dancers, flamenco teachers, waiters, heroin addicts, opera directors, models, mechanics, sculptors, philosophers, actresses, puppet makers, department store detectives and other bizarre characters of Madrid’s nightlife. That’s how I got into film.
